There's nothing better than an ice-cold G&T on a warm summer's day; here is our section of where to celebrate the nation's favourite drink with World Gin Day in London

Gin lovers of the world rejoice as World Gin Day returns for its ninth year. This global celebration of all things gin, falls on Saturday 10th June this year, meaning you’ve got a whole Sunday to recover. Blogger Emma Stokes – known as Gin Monkey – runs the show and has been driving the celebrations with her enthusiasm for gin.
WHAT IS WORLD GIN DAY?
It’s all about getting people from across the globe together to drink gin, whether that’s in a cocktail, gin and tonic or neat. There’s a whole host of events held at bars, pubs and other venues in London, as well as loads of gin promotions. People from all over the world can also get involved on social media with the #WorldGinDay hashtag.
Gin & Tonic Ice Cream Parlour Pop-Up
Ever ahead of the trend, the Hoxton are combining two of our favourite things with their Gin Mare X Ruby Violet ice-cream parlour. Head over between June 9th – 11th to grab yourself a yum gin cocktail for a fiver with refreshing twists. Then get your G&T ice cream free! The botanical infused ice creams are topped with crystallised rosemary, savoury wafers or gin-soaked orange peels.
Junipalooza is back at Tobacco Dock on the 10th and 11th June with more events, more masterclasses and more gins than ever before. The annual festival is very much one of a kind. Over 40 gin brands will be in attendance, with over 100 gins on offer between them. Once through the door, you’ll be handed a tasting glass and off you go to taste your way through the next four hours. Your ticket entitles you to as many samples as you’d like to try, as well as access to a range of talks and masterclasses from industry experts.
Fever Tree Pop-Up
Join Fever-Tree on the Southbank for a weekend of fun and festivities relaxing by the ultimate G&T bar. Find your perfect pairing from over 25 gins from around the world. Expect to see British classics including Tanqueray, Sipsmith, Portobello Road and Plymouth Gin. Discover more about the history of gin with a guided tasting, enjoy live music and soak up the Southbank sun.
Ginstock are celebrating craft gin from the best distilleries in the UK, plus killer street food to soak up the samples at Hawker House. See a world-class line-up of London’s best bartenders mixing brilliant drinks with their favourite London gin brands. Tickets will be on sale for 300 gin-lovers and includes 10 great cocktails and a voting card to decide the winning gin cocktail of the day.
Lockhouse are launching a new pop-up bar on London’s premier ‘Floating Pocket Park’ in Paddington Basin. Opening on 10 June to celebrate World Gin Day, the Botanical Bar will serve an eclectic and imaginative range of gins and gin cocktails. The first of its kind, this exclusive bar can accommodate up to 100 guests and will run Thursdays and Fridays throughout the summer, from 12-9pm.
