The Portobello Star
Sip on exotic cocktails, premium beers and house-infused spirits while hanging out by one of the most bustling market streets in West London. The cosmopolitan and stylish Portobello Star is a historic landmark of the area, rumoured to have hosted the likes of royalty.
This is a lovely cocktail bar and late-night drinking spot that is right on the river in Richmond. We have personally spent quite a bit of time here and can vouch for its quality.
Attached to the Clayton hotel in Chiswick, this cocktail bar offers everything from fabulous cocktails and a wide beer selection, to sports coverage and a resident DJ. Have a late night meal and follow it up with some al fresco drinking.
This classy but informal bistro offers both the inventive drinks that it and its “mother” restaurant Charlotte’s Place are known for, along with award-winning food. The menu is dynamic and the cocktails are presented exquisitely. Make the most of the brilliant British cocktail-dining place if you’re ever on Chiswick High Street.
Evans & Peel Pharmacy
Located just off Chiswick High Street this speakeasy is a cocktail bar disguised as a 1920s pharmacy. The detail is rather fun, you need to follow the proper authentic protocol of prohibition era illegal speakeasies, purchase drinks from a “pharmacist” in which you describe your “condition” and they will prepare your “antidote.” From there you will be lead to a hidden bar where you can enjoy all your “pharmaceutical needs” in an authentically recreated environment.
