We Londoners are spoilt for choice when it comes to wining and dining in the city, and now it seems our pets are too. Whether it’s a pub, a bar; a London hotel staycay or a private members club for the most pampered of pooches, take your pick from our list of London’s best pet friendly places.
The Bull & Last
Just a stone’s throw from Hampstead Heath in leafy north west London, this is a beautifully historic pub housed in a 19th century coaching inn. Treat your furry friend to a pigs ear or bone marrow treat in the bar area after a long roam around the heath.
With its cool canine moniker you would expect nothing less than the warmest welcome for you and your pooch. There is craft beer on tap and a cheeky dog treats are available from the menu. Brewdog let staff bring their four-legged friends to work and have even introduced Puppy Parental Leave for the staff. Workers are entitled a week’s leave to help a new furry family member settle into their home.
People’s Park Tavern
Dogs are welcome in this pub with one of the biggest, and best, beer gardens in London. You’re also right next to Victoria Park so your dog can really stretch their legs before popping to the pub.
Dog biscuits and a water bowl are available at this rustic yet refined gastro pub. In the winter your dog can curl up by the fire and in the summer you can both sit outside at the tables out front.
This Argentine barbecue restaurant holds a special “Doggy Sunday” every month, in which your four-legged friend is welcome to join you at dinner. The first Sunday of every month boasts a different theme – from Oscars do’s to beach parties – and plenty of treats for both human and hound.
As London’s only dog friendly private member’s club, George in Mayfair has hosted a famous hound or two. They have a stash of doggy treats and plenty of attention to be lavished on their very important pooches while you wine and dine on a contemporary menu of classic brasserie dishes from Britain and abroad.
Hotel 41 offers your pet the full five star treatment and have created a £50 package of services and treats. They have a Pet Concierge who will check-in your pooch with a welcome hamper, as well as a list of other pet options for the stay. A custom-made 41 pet bed is available as well as turndown treat, food and water bowl with fresh mineral water, pet menu and floor mat.

Your canine pal will sleep in a land of luxury during their stay at The Milestone Hotel. Choose from a Milestone Hotel pet bed, cushions, duvets and floor mats for their sleeping quarters and take advantage of the host of pet services on offer, such as dog walking, birthday celebrations and bathrobes. The hotel has also created a tailor made welcome hamper for dogs which has inside a toy, a treat, a Milestone tag and clean-up bags.
Pearl the golden retriever is the top dog at the Rosewood and is happy to share the limelight with other dogs and cats. Your dog will sleep on a sumptuous bed and enjoy plenty of welcome treats as well as having a water and food bowl. Feline friends can get a litter box, toys and welcome treats.
