Boozing in London doesn’t need to break the bank. If you know where to go, it can be exceptionally budget-friendly. These happy hour offerings include everything from inventive cocktails and craft beer to the much-loved G&T. With most bars offering deals most days of the week, your social life should be soaring. Here’s where you’ll find us…


Latin-themed Barrio has a few spots around London. Each offers an established cocktail menu, tasty Latin-American plates and the chance to shake your tail feathers on a Samba night. The bar runs an Amigo Hour daily until 8pm where cocktails and beer are just £5.


Retro restaurant and bar Coin Laundry is located in Clerkenwell’s culinary hotspot Exmouth Market. With a 2-4-1 cocktail offering Thursday to Saturday, 6pm-9pm, this basement space is one of the best places to stay cool this summer.


The General Store is fairly new to London’s bar scene. Its authentic interior transports Londoners to a small-town American filling station. It offers happy hour everyday from 5pm-7pm with double G&T’s for a fiver and 2 cocktails for £10.


With venues in both Clapham and Chelsea, The Jam Tree is a favourite local hangout for Londoners on the west side. Their happy hour deals run between 5pm and 7pm, Monday to Friday. The happy hour menu includes everything from the classic The Pearl Jam to the Wham Bam Thank You Jam.


Covent Garden Cocktail Club epitomises the best of British bartending. It serves a fantastic drinks menu from within a laid-bak, unpretentious atmosphere. The interiors alone are reason to go, blending a Gentlemen’s Club with prohibition-era New York City. Head over on Monday when happy hour is in full swing all evening,  or between 4:30pm and 7pm Tuesday to Saturday.


Patch claims to have the hottest happy hour in the city. We can’t play favourites, but it does have a good one. Perfect for the after-work crowd, happy hour runs every day from 4:30pm-7pm and all day on Tuesday. They offer all wines and spirits at 50% off, five beers for £15, and 2-4-1 cocktails.


Take yourself from the city streets to the Caribbean beach with the Rum Kitchen’s selection of £5 happy hour cocktails. It’s the perfect place to start the weekend amidst an abundance of jerk, rum and reggae.


Dirty Bones put a playful, New York spin on their cocktails, shots and shakes. Their extensive back bar, wine list, Champagne and soft drinks suit every palate, but the happy hour is what really gets the guys and gals going. Try one of the places renowned ‘dirty cocktails,’ a steal at just £5.
