Novotel has teamed up with Sipsmith to launch one of the most excessively festive Christmas cocktails you’ll find this winter. Guests to Novotel hotels across the UK can get their mitts on a hot gin and tonic drink that tastes and smells like Christmas in a cup. Infused with pine needles, cinnamon sticks and garnished with a fire-smoked pinecone, the ‘Taste of Christmas’ cocktail was created with the award-winning Sipsmith London Dry Gin and has been designed to smell and taste just like a Christmas Tree might… were it drinkable. Alongside this, a hot Sipsmith menu is available to guests, including a Hot Winter Gin and Tonic, Mulled Sloe Gin and a Hot Gingerbread Gin and Tonic.
Frenchie Covent Garden
The ‘Chapters of Frenchie’ menu at Frenchie Covent Garden takes drinkers on a whistle-stop tour of the three cities – London, Paris and New York – that have inspired chef and owner Greg Marchand throughout his career. Each cocktail tells a story of the city, incorporating a different spirit that has become synonymous with that city. Highlights include the Fall in Manhattan which puts an autumnal twist on the traditional Manhattan, the M’s London, a martini-style cocktail based on Genever – the grandfather of gin, and the Carthusian Truth, a refreshing cocktail based on vodka and aromatic Riesling vermouth.

This December, vegan pop-up The Meet has teamed up with Baileys Almande to create decadent vegan treats for London’s Baileys lovers. Chef Dominic Taylor has used Bailey’s Almande to create a warm and rich Bakewell tart hot chocolate which is served with a shortbread crumb rim, a dollop of Raspberry Jam, lashings of dairy-free cream and adorned with shavings of vegan chocolate. For dessert, they will also be serving a luxuriously silky Baileys Almande and ginger pannacotta alongside an electric mix of vegan cocktails.
Surround yourself with tinsel and fairy lights galore at London’s most exciting cocktail bar. At Cahoots, guests will embark on a unique and immersive 1940’s cocktail bar experience featuring a seasonal special whiskey-based cocktail, aptly called Jack Frost Tippling As He Goes. The tipple, made with Gentleman Jack Bourbon Tennessee whiskey, Martini Riserva Speciale Bitter aperitif, Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Honey whiskey liqueur, and mulled wine will be on offer for guests to sip whilst enjoying the cosy Christmas decorations.

In Chelsea, Barts speakeasy will be offering a delicious hot cocktail perfect for Londoners who are looking to escape the chill. The cosy hidden cocktail bar, which requires a secret password for entry, will be offering a twist on a mulled wine serve. The drink, called Uncle Barts’ Whiskey Winter Warmer is made with a Woodford Reserve mulled wine that has been infused with festive spices, and then topped with decadent creme de mure, before being presented to guests in a charming teacup with a garnish of smouldering cinnamon – delicious!

As the cold nights draw in, nothing beats a winter warmer by the fire. New Covent Garden restaurant, Buns & Buns will be serving Mulled Wine with a Black Cherry Twist. Served hot, made with rum, cherry liqueur, cherry tea syrup, lemon juice, the smell alone is enough to make your night feel exceptionally festive.
Native will be getting into the festive spirit by shaking up an unmissable Chestnut Espresso Martini. Last Nights of Havana serves a creamy and warming concoction of the notoriously festive Eggnog cocktail. Blending Bombay Sapphire, 30et40, lemon juice, peach syrup, sugar syrup and topped off with plum bitters, this festive tipple will take the chill out of any winter evening.
