DUKE OF YORK SQUARE

The legendary Strawberries & Screen event will be returning to Duke of York Square from the 8th until the 10th of July, especially for the Men’s Semi-Finals and Men and Women’s Finals. The Square will be home to a giant screen, and guests will be able to watch the hotly anticipated Wimbledon finals from the comfort of the green. If all the excitement stirs up your appetite, there will be picnic hampers available as well as a stall selling strawberries and cream. So the kids can get involved in the action too, professional tennis coaches will be on-site to offer complimentary lessons to any young Wimbledon hopefuls.

BOUNCE WIMBLEDON

Perfect for tennis fans looking to downsize a little, there may be no more suitable location to enjoy the championships than at Bounce, the Ping Pong experts. This month they will be bringing the courts of Wimbledon to their locations around London. The final weekend of the tournament will be coming to this exciting street food hub on Greenwich Peninsula. Design District Canteen has orchestrated the perfect al fresco viewing situation for tennis fans, and a big screen will be displaying a live stream of the Wimbledon championships on the 9th and 10th of July. You’ll also be able to sample vibrant street food and pitchers of Pimms will be on hand if you get thirsty. There will be Kid’s Tables on-site, manned by a team of creative childcarers offering free arts and craft sessions, so parents won’t have to miss out on all of the action.

THE REFINERY BANKSIDE

If you’ve forgotten your glasses, don’t worry, you’ll be able to see the game at the Refinery Bankside. Their al fresco terrace is home to one of the largest outdoor screens in the capital and is the ultimate viewing destination. The outdoor area is kitted out with plenty of deck chairs, and a fully-stocked bar to facilitate the all-day drinking you’ll want to partake in. If you book your table ahead of time, you can have a bucket of cold beer, a jug of Pimm’s and some sharing platters waiting for your arrival. Located just a short walk from Southwark and Waterloo stations, the terrace will be open Tuesday through Sunday from 11 am until 11 pm, but is sure to be packed so make sure to secure your spot soon.

THE DOG & FOX

This Wimbledon Pub will be at the heart of the action this tournament season and boasts the biggest screen in the borough. The team at the Dog & Fox take the Wimbledon championships very seriously and has been celebrating for a full fortnight. Located just a stone’s throw away from the Wimbledon Tennis Club, their tv screens will be live streaming every moment of the action, come rain or shine. You can soak up the great British summer and go ‘Alex fresco’ at The Alexandra. Located just a stone’s throw from the tennis club, the pub is a firm favourite amongst Wimbledon fans. They have tv screens playing live broadcasts of all the matches, so you won’t miss out on any centre-court action. There will be plenty to tickle your tastebuds, including chin-dribbling burgers from the Burger Shack, and from Thursday to Saturday, the pub will play host to live music and entertainment. They have made sure to cultivate a fun street party atmosphere, so the party can go on long after the final points have been scored.
