Today marks World Vegan Day and to celebrate, London’s eateries are going all out with a tantalising selection of vegan menus. These are the ones to try now

The Real Greek

The Real Greek is coming to the rescue of hungry Brits with a limited-time offer on its popular vegan lunch menu. The Real Greek food centres on the delicious, healthy diet of the Eastern Mediterranean, staying true to the Greek ethos for food, family and life. Visitors on the day will be able to pick from a selection of vegan mezze or souvlaki wraps and sides for just £5. The Vegan Menu offer will be available in all fifteen The Real Greek restaurants on Thursday 1st November.

Roll up, roll up, vegans one and all! Pizza Express is here to help you celebrate in style with an exclusive offer of a FREE portion of vegan dough balls. You can’t have dough balls without a dip, but not to worry Pizza Express’ very own pestorissa dip is a delicious dairy-free dipping alternative. While you’re there, the menu features a plethora of dairy-free dishes like their new Vegan Puttanesca – featuring meat-mimicking jackfruit – or a classic Peperonata pasta, and dairy-free carrot cake.

Ginza Onodera

Launching in time for National Vegan Month, Ginza Onodera’s vegan Christmas set menu is priced at £40 per person for four courses. Tastes of the orient get a delicious green twist, with dishes such as Nasu dengaku – grilled Japanese aubergine with a sweet miso sauce – and veggie sushi rolls, set to delight vegan and non-vegan diners alike.

Shivi Ramoutar at The Rum Kitchen

The Rum Kitchen has teamed up with the queen of contemporary Caribbean cooking Shivi Ramoutar to create a beautiful menu that celebrates colourful, Caribbean plant-based dishes. The hero dish on the new menu has to be the extremely moreish “KFC” – Krispy Fried Cauliflower served with garlic sweet potato, tamarind aioli and honey. Other menu items include Jerk Spiced Jack Fruit & Pineapple Black-Eyed Bean Rice, Creole Squash with Molasses Sugar Chickpeas and Coconut Kale Crisps, and a light and refreshing Rainbow Salad with Agave & Ginger Dressing.

Cinnamon Bazzaar – Covent Garden

Cinnamon Bazaar blends Old World flavours with Vivek Singh’s renowned modern Indian style to create a unique dining experience. The four-course vegan menu (£30 per person) includes signature watermelon chaat, mushroom and green pea curry, and Jaipur-style okra with spinach poppadom curry.

Vegan pop up The Meet

Launching this November, The Meet in Clapham offers indugent plant-based comfort food combined with playful vegan cocktails, all in the urban, industrial backdrop of railway arches in Clapham North. The Meet utilises the latest in meat free alternatives such as Seitan and Jackfruit alongside zingy herbs and spices to transform recognisable meaty dishes into unexpected vegan delights. Open daily, The Meet offers a range of small sharing plates, burgers, late night bites as well serving bottomless vegan brunch and Sunday roasts on the weekend. To celebrate World Vegan Day The Meet will be offering 50% off food from 25th October until 2nd November.

Vegan chips & dips at HIPCHIPS

Based in Soho and famous for its five varieties of handcrafted, heritage crisps accompanied by sweet and savoury dips, the HIPCHIPS vegan selection includes beetroot lemongrass marmalade and a delicious vegan chocolate mousse dip for dessert. La Vegana Pizza at Zia Lucia

Pizza! Try authentic Italian pizzeria Zia Lucia in Brook Green and Islington as it has become renowned for its four 48-hour slow-fermented pizza doughs: traditional white flour, wholemeal, gluten-free and a black vegetable charcoal base. Each different dough can be topped with an array of classic Italian toppings and one of Zia’s most popular toppings is ‘La Vegana’ a vegan butternut squash cream, scattered with fresh tomatoes, asparagus and sun-dried tomatoes.

Ormer Mayfair Exclusive Tasting Menu & Vegan Testing

Ormer Mayfair is elevating plant-based dining with the launch of its exclusive four-course tasting menu alongside paired premium vegan wines. Created by Michelin-awarded chef Shaun Rankin, the vegetable-centric menu (priced at £65 per person).  Available throughout the month, diners will enjoy a welcome Bellini cocktail, followed by dishes such as heritage beets with a rich Kalamata sorbet, puffed quinoa and truffle honey, a melody of seasonal vegetables with olive oil emulsion and a touch of tahini, and coconut parfait, crispy tapioca, granola and mango sorbet.

Town House

Town House is delighted to announce they will be serving a new, plant-based menu throughout November.  Highlights of the brand new menu include Pearl Barley Salad with figs & lemon dressing (£7.00), Chickpea Panisse with macerated raisins, tomato, relish & plum wine tomatoes (£16.00) and Cardamom Rice Pudding with spiced poached pear (£8.00).  Town House is located on the corner of two of London’s iconic thoroughfares, Queen’s Gate and the Old Brompton Road

Baluchi, The LaLit London

To celebrate all things vegan, Executive Chef Santosh Shah has launched a limited-edition seven-course plant-based tasting menu at Baluchi, London’s pan-Indian dining destination in luxury boutique hotel, The LaLiT London. The vegan menu priced at £55 per person will include dishes such as Subz ki thal – tandoori roasted cauliflower, baby aubergine, gunpowder and sabudana papad, grilled tofu with coconut sukha, spiced tofu mince, and masala soya mince.  Finish on a sweet note with a tapioca kher and carrot halwa.
