The 53-kilometre, four-day trail weaves its way through some of the country’s most beautiful scenery. Expect to see the highest waterfall in New Zealand, Sutherland Falls, dropping a massive 580m, as well as stunning panoramic views atop mountain passes of ancient glacier-carved valleys. The sky is the limit for some intrepid travellers. Luckily, Richard Branson’s Virgin group has built a new generation of space vehicles to open space up for everyone. The spaceship made its maiden voyage to suborbital space last December. Explore the Great Barrier Reef

Unique travel

If exploring space isn’t of interest to you, maybe you’ll prefer exploring the deep blue in a private submarine for two. Wonder at the beauty of the world’s largest reef, without having to get wet. This tiny submarine may not be the most luxurious, but its small size allows it to swim between the fish, getting you up close and personal to sea life.
