London is gearing up for a Wimbledon-packed weekend of sporting action and quintessential British-ness. There are also festivals galore and an exercise class that’ll push you to dizzying heights. Here’s what’s on this weekend…

BRITISH SUMMER TIME HYDE PARK
British Summer Time Hyde Park’s kicks off this weekend for the jam-packed fifth edition. Two weekends of legendary musical line-ups sandwich a marvellous week of free summer activities. Expect live Wimbledon screenings, outdoor movie nights, street food, pop-up bars, and entertainment. Live music this year comes from Phil Collins, Greenday, Justin Beiber and The Killers.
CAT ON A HOT TIN ROOF
Sienna Miller stars as Maggie alongside Jack O’Connell as Brick in this poetic story of a family’s fight for survival. On a steamy night in Mississippi, a Southern family gather at their cotton plantation to celebrate Big Daddy’s birthday. The summer heat is almost as oppressive as the lies they tell. With the future of the family at stake, which version of the truth is real – and which will win out?
ARTS & ANTIQUES FAIR
The Art & Antiques Fair Olympia returns to London this week in what will be its historic 45th year, with more choice and diversity than ever. New for 2017 is the first Interior Design Talk Series where experts will be on hand to give practical advice and inspiration for making the most of their pieces purchased at the Fair.
LONDON ART WEEK AT BROWN’S HOTEL
Mayfair Art Weekend opens its doors to celebrate the area as a vibrant hub of talent, creativity, craftsmanship and production. Brown’s Hotel are taking part with a packed programme of free talks, walks and over 60 exhibitions to see. The iconic hotel will be focal point from which art lovers can explore Mayfair this weekend.
There is an All Day Arty Brunch to tuck into, with dishes taking inspiration from Pharmacy 2 restaurant. The celebrations continue with a specially created Less is MAW Cocktail served from The Donovan Bar. And finally, a number of Brown’s Art Tours will take place on the 1st and 2nd of July. Guests visiting Brown’s Hotel over the MAW weekend will also be able to view a series of video sequences by Sidsel Christensen in the windows of Brown’s Hotel.
BODYISM BOXING WORKOUT
This weekend, Bodyism London are doing their bit to help the Grenfell Fire tragedy. The revolutionary wellness experience are hosting boxing classes with all proceeds donated to the Chelsea and Kensington Foundation. Determined to make a difference, the team are directing donations towards the children and babies that have suffered. Classes are open to anyone and everyone who would like to attend. There is a £30 minimum donation for a 60 min session and complimentary shake post boxing. If boxing isn’t your bag, Bodyism have set up is a Just Giving page where you can show your support.
THE JAM TREE’S RUM FESTIVAL
The Jam Tree are transporting Londoners to the sunny Caribbean this summer with a brand new, month-long rum festival. From cocktail-friendly white rums to the beguiling navy spice, the versatile tipple will be celebrated in all its summery glory. Rum will infuse everything from the barbeque menu and cocktails to the vibrant décor. Music Concierge have devised a soundtrack of Reggae, Ska, Salsa and Soukous which will drift through the venues and gardens.
WIMBLEDON AT THE WALDORF HILTON
In celebration of Wimbledon, the iconic Waldorf Hilton is transforming its library into its very own Henman Hill. The Waldorf Hill, complete with grass, white picket fencing and sporting memorabilia. Head down this weekend and find the perfect spot to watch all the tennis action.
BARRY’S BOOTCAMP ON THE LONDON EYE
International fitness phenomenon, Barry’s Bootcamp, is taking fitness to new heights. Catch the team this Saturday at the London Eye, where they’ll be hosting their signature HIIT workouts from a pod in London’s most iconic location. The event forms part of the Barry’s Cares initiative, with all proceeds going to Stand Up To Cancer.
