The bespoke show, featuring dancers, musicians, acrobats, magicians, breathtaking costumes and an abundance of surprises, has been created by London Cabaret Club artistic director Doni Fierro. The evening is complete with a dinner inspired by The Great Gatsby and guests will be transported back to the giddy magic of the glistening Roaring Twenties while tucking into scallops, roasted duck breast with red cabbage puree, potato rösti, kale and blackberry sauce and chocolate fondant.

The Postal Museum Friday Valentine’s Late

The romantic event showcases love letters from their 500-year old archive and guests can have a cosy ride on London’s Mail Rail with a glass of bubbly in hand. There are lessons in love as the museum’s curators reveal romantic letters between long-distance lovers, secret messages and on the less romantic side ‘Vinegar Valentines’ sent by cheeky Victorians. Visitors will be encouraged to get creative and write a letter to a loved one – romantic or otherwise – at a letter-writing station.

Hoi Polloi has also created a bespoke Valentine’s Day menu for the event featuring king prawns, dry-aged beef cutlet with parmesan chips and a white chocolate and strawberry roulade.

Camden Market for Valentine's DayFrom 10-14 February Camden Market are offering plenty of romantically-inspired bites with a twist. Nitro ice-cream wizards Chin Chin Labs will be serving up a HeartBreaker Cake, a peanut butter buttercream sandwiched between two layers of rich chocolate cake and encased in a velvety chocolate glaze, personalised with hand piped love messages from the chefs such as ‘Better Alone’, ‘Heartbreaker’ and ‘Hot Mess’. A little way down the road, Naked Dough will be serving a limited edition Cupid’s Dough raw cookie dough rippled with raspberry marshmallow whip and topped with white chocolate and raspberries. You can also stop off for a hot drink at Pamban, the coffee and chai specialists, who will be serving their rose petal chai and their rose hot chocolates.
