Rooftop Pilates with Pure Sports Medicine and Sweaty Betty

Stretch out the stresses of a long day in the office with Pure Sports Medicine and Sweaty Betty. The two have teamed up to launch three exclusive rooftop Pilates sessions at Crossrail Place Roof Garden, Canary Wharf. The series invites Londoners to take time out in the sunshine for an inspiring outdoor class led by experienced Pilates Instructor and Sweaty Betty ambassador Natalie Wright.

RooFIT Pop-Up at Aviary Rooftop

Take a break from the sweaty gym this summer and take your workout sky high. With yoga, boxing and ballet, Aviary’s stunning rooftop terrace is the latest hotspot among London’s wellness warriors for fun summer fitness. These classes come as part of a new wellness pop-up series – RooFIT – and are available on selected Thursday and Fridays throughout the summer.

Each class includes a cold-pressed juice from PRESS and a goodie bag. Shower facilities and equipment will also be provided. Tickets are £25, available here.

BLOK Skills Summer Workshops

Design meets art meets fashion meets fitness at BLOK London, the studio making exercise pretty darn cool. Their series of summer workshops – available in both the Clapton and Shoreditch studios – encompasses everything, from handstand technique to West End dance and boxing.

New Motion Fitness Launch Event

New Motion is one of the latest launches on London’s gym scene and combines boutique fitness with the social atmosphere of the club. Launching on 9 July with an epic four-day event at the Lightbox in Vauxhall, guests can fully immerse themselves into the New Motion world for just £9 per class or £15 for unlimited classes across the launch week. The event will showcase the studio’s super-charged HIIT, Boxing, Dance and Yoga workouts, accompanied by monthly live DJ’s, before a refuel in the food garden and on-site bar.

BLOK Rooftop Boxing

BLOK has teamed up with Mondrian London and Innermost for a summer fitness series that is perfect now that the sun firmly has his hat on. The chosen space for the Summer Sweat Series is the vibrant rooftop lounge, Rumpus Rooms. Why? Because the space lends itself perfectly to summer morning workouts thanks to its panoramic views of the London skyline. BLOK is kicking things off this Saturday 23 with a 60-minute high-energy boxing class, choreographed to a live DJ set and followed by brunch and an Innermost smoothie.

Cycling Workshop Summer Series

Taking place throughout June and July, Pure Sports Medicine is hosting an unmissable series of cycling workshops for any Londoners looking to get the most out of riding their bike this summer. There are two classes to choose from, Strength and Core; both will help improve performance while teaching riders how to avoid injury.

The Wildcat Workout with Lisa-Jane Holmes

Followers of personal trainer, fitness instructor and blogger, Lisa-Jane Holmes AKA Wildcat Fit can catch her on the Floating Pocket Park at Merchant Square where she will be hosting free sessions this summer. Lisa-Jane will run two 30-minute sessions for the first 25 people who sign up online. Suitable for all fitness levels, The Wildcat Workout will be a mix of HIIT and bodyweight resistance – the ultimate combination of cardio burn and strength building. The Wildcat Workout comes in a long line of fun summer fitness events at Merchant Square, including canal zorbing and paddleboarding.

Date-ercise by Right Path Fitness

With a circuit-training style set-up, Date-ercise enables you to burn up to 700 calories whilst meeting 12 potential partners in one, 45-minute fun, yet challenging session. Based on a speed-dating format, the class comprises of 12 men and 12 women, who will participate in 12 different couple friendly exercises, meeting a new training partner (and potential love interest) at each station. Once they have completed the series of high intensity exercises, they can boost their heart rate further whilst they get to know their potential dates better over healthy cocktails in Rich Mix’s private bar.

F45 Playoff’s with The Colour Run Hero Tour 2018

Free to enter and open to The Color Run participants and the general public of all fitness levels and abilities, the F45 Playoffs challenge is designed to push individuals to their limits so they can reach their personal best and work harder than ever before. This ultimate fitness test will see competitors work through a gruelling set of ten sweat-inducing stations in just ten minutes, with exercises such as rowing, bench and lateral hops, box jumps, burpees, chin ups, Russian twists and sprints. Participants are expected to stay in each station for 45 seconds and complete as many repetitions as possible, and will have a 15 second rest period before moving on to the next station.
