A Taste Of Luxury At The Hari

The Belgravia based hotel offers both tourists and Londoners alike an evening of luxury, conveniently located just a short walk away from both Harrods and Hyde Park. Absolutely London visits The Hari for a stylish city staycation.

The lobby of The Hari is what I aspire my future living room to look like. Chic and sophisticated but also somehow homely, the lobby interior is decorated in decadent reds and golds with exposed brick walls, whilst a series of artworks (that are for sale, should guests wish to purchase) occupy the walls and designer coffee table books sit upon every surface. It definitely has an exclusive feel to it – not dissimilar to one of Mayfairs’ many members clubs.

Upon arrival, guests will be welcomed by the friendly and attentive staff – who are all the more happy to assist you to your room as well as to arrange any dinner plans or advise on how to spend your evening – we were even provided with complimentary champagne and I was truly blown away by the attention to detail and thoughtfulness shown by the staff. The Hari is home to 85 designer rooms, including four suite style options.

For my stay I was lucky enough to experience the Studio King Suite – the perfect home away from home offering. The suite is fully kitted out with a plush, king sized bed (accompanied by custom imported linens, of course), a nespresso machine and bay window seating. The suite ‘oozes’ modern luxury, from the velvet upholstery to the art-deco style seating options.

The star of the show has to be the marble bathroom. In my humble opinion, there are few things finer in life than a decadent bath. There is no better feeling than coming home after a long and stressful day and simply letting your worries and tensions melt away. Of course, the bay window bathtub at The Hari is an otherworldly experience in comparison to my at-home tub – the view over looking London is one factor that sets it apart. At first, bathing in front of an open window seems a strange experience, but when you realise that no one can actually see into the room, it feels rather freeing. Of course, only the best toiletries are on offer from Noble Isle to complete your luxury bathing experience.

Whilst staying at The Hari, guests have two dining options. The first is their Garden Terrace – which is surely worth a visit, whilst the latter is an Il Pampero; an Italian offering within the hotel.

The Garden Terrace is the perfect, lazy lunchtime spot for afternoon cocktails, business meetings and after work drinks. At the time of visiting, The Garden Terrace had had a summer makeover in collaboration with London’s Dry Gin No.3.  Tropical flowers and foliage adorn the walls, whilst the friendly wait staff expertly mix refreshing, gin infused cocktails such as the aptly named ‘Holiday In Paradise’, a concoction of basil-infused No.3 gin, St Germain Elderflower Liqueur, grapefruit juice, lemon juice, sugar, with Merchant’s Heart Ginger Ale.

Whilst the terrace offers a chilled-out vibe, Il Pampero is reserved for evenings when only the best will do. Their ethos is that all raw ingredients used in their creations must be Italian – meaning all food served at Il Pampero has regional influences, from Southern Italy in particular. The restaurant mimics the style of the hotel in the sense that the menu is classic, with a few exciting and seasonal twists – the Fregola, scallops, asparagus & mint is unexpected but very special.

With a question mark looming over the head of international travel for many this year, a city staycation is the perfect solution, and The Hari is the perfect base for a much needed break. Whether guests are looking for a weekend of activities and nightlife or a night or two to recharge, the luxury Belgravia spot can offer comfort and sophistication just a stone’s throw away from busy Central London. Don’t forget to enjoy that bath.
