Whether you want to prolong your holiday tan or just fake it, discover the best natural tanning products
Words Joy Montgomery
It might not feel like high summer at the moment and, yes, our holiday feels like a distant memory, but we’re still desperately clinging onto our naturally sun-kissed summer skin. Luckily beauty brands have made our lives that little bit easier by creating a whole host of new gen fake tans. Gone are the days of neon orange – the new fake tan is all about subtle bronzers, streak and sparkle-free formulations and glow-enhancing bases.
We love this year’s offering of overnight bronze masks. Brands such as Charlotte Tilbury and James Read have changed the way we think about gradual face tan, with formulas that not only enhance your glow but also actively hydrate and nourish the skin. CT’s offering is particularly good for lighter skin tones wanting to slowly build up colour.
For a final flourish, you can’t go wrong with Bobbi Brown’s Glow Stick in Sunkissed, which will work just as well beach-side as it will in the city. Apply to areas where light naturally hits the face. Or, for a glow-enhancing eyeshadow look, simply use a crease brush to buff bronzer onto your lids. The result? On-trend, matte perfection.
