Much to our delight, Shrove Tuesday has crepe’d up again. This year, festivities fall on the 28th and bring a wealth of flipping good pancake menus. There are dishes to satiate both savoury and sweet teeth, as well as an array of unique ingredients and flavours. Here’s our roundup of where to eat pancakes in London.

A taste of the Black Forest at German Gymnasium

German Gymnasium are shaking things up this Shrove Tuesday and serving guests a bountiful Bavarian version of the classic crepe. Gorge on a Black Forest and Chocolate pancake (or in German) Schwarzwälder Kirsch Pfannkuche for in indulgently, decadent way to end February.

Chef Lawrence Keogh at New Street Grill is ditching the banana and chocolate classic combos and diving in with something  infinitely more decadent. If a Sweetcorn with Foie Gras and Port reduction pancake won’t make you feel fulfilled this February, we’re not sure what will.

On offer is a smoked salmon stack with crushed avocado and dill; a delightfully indulgent dish with banana and butterscotch; or a warm and fluffy pile of blueberry ricotta pancakes with crème fraiche and maple syrup.
