SIF JAKOBS: the Scandi fusion one
This brand is named for its founder, the Iceland-born, Denmark-dwelling Sif Jakobs. Sif takes her inspiration both from her training as a goldsmith in Sweden and Italy, her second home for many years. Think glamour with a hint of edge.
TADA & TOY: the effortlessly chic one
London-based duo Tansy Aspinall and Victoria van Holthe are the brains behind laid back jewellery brand Tada and Toy. Made to be stacked for effect, their simple, delicate designs transition perfectly from day to night and can be worn everyday with ease.
ANNELISE MICHELSON: the bold, statement one
“I want to empower women with objects of desire that reflect their own strength”, says Annelise Michelson, “not simply decorate them.” This sums up the raw, powerful aesthetic that has become the brand’s trademark and if you do choose to invest in one of her pieces, you’ll be in good company – FKA Twigs, Alexa Chung and Lady Gaga are all fans.
SARAH HO: the high end one
Sarah Ho’s stunning, delicate designs in precious metals and stones manage to walk the line between works of art and wearable jewellery. Heavily influenced by her upbringing in Hong Kong and Macau, this high end brand aims to tell a story with every collection.
MARIA TASH: the body jewellery one
Multiple piercings are no longer the remit of punks and rebels – mainstream models and actresses like Cara Delevingne, Emma Stone and Kate Moss have all been spied sporting serious hoops and studs. Maria Tash specialises in ‘fine body art’, meaning refined piercings in rose, yellow and white gold from your tragus to your navel. Find her new permanent studio at Liberty.
LILY GABRIELLA: the colourful one
Bright and beautiful and totally handmade, Lily Gabriella incorporates intricate, otherworldly shapes with sculptural structured edifices and the result is breathtaking. Every piece is created, under Elia’s direction, by the finest Italian goldsmiths and lapidaries with the best materials available.
