Enjoy a festive line-up of family activities this winter at London Transport Museum in Covent Garden. From 4 December, visitors can follow a trail to find frozen Underground roundels, meet Santa in an enchanted forest hideaway and help fix his sleigh in time for Christmas.

Help fix Santa’s sleigh

Visitors to the award-winning museum can try out a brand-new 3D interactive sleigh. Little engineers can climb aboard and have fun checking all systems are go before Santa sets off to deliver presents on Christmas Eve.Meet Santa Claus  

Families can meet Santa himself in an enchanted winter garden filled with twinkling lights. Get cosy and settle in to watch a video story about his utterly awesome Underground journey with the ‘Tf-Elves’.

Santa and his Elf assistant will be at the museum daily from 11:00 to 15:00 between 4 and 23 December.Weekly winter prizes

As you explore, be on the lookout for frozen Underground roundels hidden among the historic vehicles on display. Answer trivia questions along the way to find out fascinating facts about transport in London’s over the last 200 years.

Children who follow the trail to find all the roundels can enter a weekly prize draw. Winners will receive a Mini London Underground Lightbox from the Museum’s shop.You can also see a display of vintage posters celebrating winter in the Capital. Step into a life-sized version of one to get that picture-perfect wintery Instagram snap.A night at the museum

Adults looking for an alternative to the work Christmas party can book a ticket for one of the museum’s themed After Dark events. Explore after hours as you catch up with friends with a festive tipple from the pop-up bar.

On Friday 3 December 2021 embrace your inner child with a scavenger hunt and evening of board games, or show off your transport trivia knowledge in a festive pub-style quiz hosted by Father Christmas himself on Friday 17 December.

Tickets to After Dark events cost £12. Over 18s only.
