The Chedi Andermatt, Switzerland

The Chedi Andermatt, designed by Jean-Michel Gathy, balances tradition, luxury and nature, and boast sweeping views of the Alpine surroundings. The Chedi Andermatt also houses a modern health club and exceptional spa and has a 35-metre indoor pool and a 12-metre outdoor pool, meaning guests are able to enjoy the panoramic Alpine scenery from the comfort of the hotel.

Andermatt itself is set to become one of Europe’s hottest new ski destinations, thanks to the opening of a brand new ski area, the SkiArena Andermatt-Sedrun, ready for the winter 2018/19 season. The new area will be the largest and one of the most attractive ski areas in Central Switzerland. The overall project which will see the joining of the two ski resorts Andermatt and Sedrun into over 120 kilometres of pistes, including 14 chairlifts, snowmaking systems, new pistes, and five new restaurants.

Grandes Alpes, Courchevel 1850

Ahead of the 2018/2019 season, Grandes Alpes, Courchevel 1850 has announced an exciting new partnership with Foil Skis, a luxury award-winning ski brand that have exclusively developed signature Grandes Alpes skis for guests to rent and ski on 14-karat gold.

Foil Skis have exclusively developed the Signature Grandes Alpes Foil Skis, available for guests to rent throughout the season. Founded by Andreas Pichler, an award-winning designer, artist and competitive alpine skier, the skis are of World Cup performance. Foil’s renowned Oro Nero Gold Skis will also be available for rent and for purchase at the hotel’s Ski Shop l’Atelier, allowing guests of Grandes Alpes, Courchevel 1850 with the opportunity to ski on their very own pair of dazzling gold skis.

The Signature Grandes Alpes Foil Skis will be available to rent on a daily rate of €950 (approximately. £850).
