Boom Cycle Waterloo
If you love a calorie-torching workout accompanied by sensational tunes, you’ll no doubt be familiar with Boom Cycle. Waterloo is the brand’s fifth slick cycle studio to open in London and their biggest one to date. Class-goers to the new site get two spin studios to enjoy, complimentary shoe hire, changing rooms stocked with REN skincare and GHD styling tools and a shake and snack bar for a tasty post-workout smoothie.
Sweat by BXR Canary Wharf
Leading pay-to-train studio, Sweat By BXR has opened a second site in Canary Wharf. It’s the brand’s first stand-alone studio (the first being part of member’s only boxing gym, BXR), and will offer the same group concept classes that have been designed in collaboration with elite coaches, osteopaths and physios to create low impact, balanced workouts. The new space is set to launch lunchtime classes from 4 November, just in time for the party season and perfect for those looking to keep up with their fitness routine despite having a packed festive calendar. Class-goers will be able to make the most of their lunch hour with a 35-minute class designed to be short, sweet and sweaty. For something spookier… get yourself to Sweat by BXR this Thursday evening when signature classes at both studios will be getting a Halloween update. At Canary Wharf, book yourself into The Blair Wharf Project, 6:00-7:30pm.
King of gyms 1Rebel has opened a cool, new dystopian-style studio in Angel. Here, you can partake in 1Rebel’s most gruelling workout – Reshape. With back-to-back quick-fire rounds on the treadmill and dynamic weight sequences, this is a class that will challenge, burn fat and push you to your limits.
We all know we should stretch more but if you’re anything like us, you rarely make time for it. Flexology is London’s first dedicated stretching studio encouraging anyone from the flex-obsessed to complete novices to limber up with a carefully curated programme of assisted stretching classes. Taking into account history, lifestyle, injuries and individual goals, your Flex-pert will guide you into deep stretches that are impossible to achieve alone.
Lift: The Movement
New Shoreditch fitness space, Lift: The Movement, takes your workout back to basics with a selection of classes centred around the philosophy that physical balance leads to mental balance. Develop discipline through the connection of mind, body and soul during a session on the gymnastic rings, handstanding, working on mobility or doing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
From spa and salon to plant-based brasserie and family space, Cloud Twelve is the wellness space that has it all. Even more so now with the launch of twice-weekly Vinyasa flow yoga class open to all abilities. Classes will help build strength and flexibility while restoring emotional, mental and physical balance, and each will be followed by a delicious and nutritious breakfast.
