Absolutely talks restaurants, beauty and brands with Fanny Moizant, founder of Vestiaire Collective

Words Joy Montgomery

Absolutely meets Fanny Moizant, the founder of the successful designer resale site Vestiaire Collective. Offering fashion-lovers the chance to pass their second hand designer pieces onto appreciative new owners, the entrepreneurial site has gone from strength-to-strength, with an ever-growing international community of five million users and 4,000 luxury brands.

We picked Fanny’s brains to find out what makes her tick: from restaurants and beauty to hot new brands…

Favourite fashion designer?

I really love what Julie de Libran is doing at Sonia Rykiel, but also Demna Gvasalia at Vêtement. Shoe wise I am fan of Franceso Russo and Gianvitto Rossi.

Ultimate style icon?

I love Charlotte Gainsbourg – she makes denim look chic even when paired with a simple white t-shirt.

Brand to watch for 2017?

Racil, they make the most amazing blazers that fit perfectly!

Hero buy for AW16?

Vêtement ankle boots, Racil blazer and a Celine chunky knit

Can’t-live-without beauty product?

Products from Joelle Ciocco are my favourite – I can’t recommend them enough. Joelle is a French Epidemiologist and her products are fantastic because they leave your skin feeling so healthy. You can buy the products in the UK from ohmycream.com, which is a site I’m also obsessed with!

Best restaurant (London or international)?

Roka on Charlotte Street in London has the most delicious Japanese food. I love the open kitchen where you can see the food being prepared and pick up some tips. It all adds to the experience.

Favourite way to relax?

Massage at Gazelli.
