We’ve dug around to find a few of London’s finest eateries serving dishes that won’t cost you an arm and a leg. These are the Michelin Starred meals you can get for £25.
This French-Mediterranean restaurant in the heart of London serves up sharing food with a feel-good factor. But the prices are the real clincher. Truffle arancini balls come in at a measly £2 whilst the purse-friendly quail dish will set you back just £17. Dishes are made for sharing but three or four will easily come in under £25 if you choose wisely.
CELESTE AT THE LANESBOROUGH
Michelin-starred Celeste in the heart of London offers creative, modern food that’s as sensationally presented as it is flavoured. The Sunday brunch menu offers a variety of dishes that will keep the frugal foodie happy. Try the sumptuous, melt-in-the-mouth pork belly for a savvy £24.
Ellory is one of London’s rising gastronomic stars and a newbie on Michelin’s list. Since opening in November 2015, the place has grown into a neighbourhood restaurant, delivering modern European sharing plates. Here, two main dishes will easily come under budget. Try the broad beans with loquat, ricotta and anchovy, followed by pork loin with onion, turnip and orange.
This Indian is an institution, serving west Londoners since 1926. Expect classical and authentic Indian cuisine with a fine dining edge. First courses range in price from £12.00 to £15.00 and include green prawn tandoori and a venison mutta kebab. Mains start within budget at £21.50 and include a fiery roast duck vindaloo.
Everything from Lyle’s’ lunch offering comes in under £25 so the menu really is your oyster. Food is seasonal and British with dishes such as Jersey rock oysters with salted gooseberries and smoked eel with Jersey royal potatoes.
