Regular spa goers will be familiar with LED facials that use either infra-red, ultraviolet or blue light to help a variety of skin conditions, but the Luminous Lift is the very first treatment to combine all the benefits of these different light frequencies.
LED Luminous Lift: The Lowdown
Devised by EF Medispa’s founder Esther Fieldgrass, it uses an advanced healing laser which combines a rainbow of light frequencies which can help alleviate, calm and reduce acne or acne scars, reduce post-surgery scars, rejuvenate ageing skin and even lift and tone the face.
After an in-depth consultation about my skin, including my makeup routine, current cleansing regime and lifestyle factors, I’m pampered with a hydrating cleanse of the face. My eyes are gently covered with protective goggles and the MEDILUX laser machine is placed over me. It feels like sitting under the sun and I’m so relaxed I find myself on the verge of drifting off.
As I luxuriate my skin is replenished by the combination of light frequencies. The healing laser increases blood circulation; giving skin an immediate boost. The red and yellow light frequencies replenish and encourage the production of collagen – essential for youthful skin, and the treatment plumps the membranes between the layers of your skin, giving a firmer and more toned shape.
Post-treatment, my congested complexion immediately feels calmer and my pores are refined. Just as invaluable is the consultant’s prescription of products, including an AM and PM skincare routine and makeup suggestions that will keep my face spot-free and radiant.
