The best healthy Christmas menus
WELLNESS BREAKFAST AT ST. JAMES’S HOTEL AND CLUB
St. James’s Hotel and Club have introduced a healthy Christmas menu to help guests take care of themselves during the hectic festive season. The wellness breakfast includes oatmeal and cottage cheese pancakes with smoked salmon and avocado, porridge oats soaked in almond milk with mixed berries and nuts, quinoa crumpets with baked banana and coconut yoghurt, and a glowing green smoothie. Highly satisfying but in no way bloating. Fun fact – the green smoothie was originally created for Dita von Teese when she stayed at the hotel.
DON CEVICHE AT CEVICHE SOHO
Ceviche Soho is a fun and health conscious venue to hold your festivities this December, boasting one of the best healthy Christmas menus in London. Packed full nutritious Peruvian dishes such as the avocado cannelloni with palm heart salad and beetroot cured stone bass. Our favourite dish is the Don Ceviche – made with fresh sea bass, amarillo tiger’s milk, and sweet potato. They have also transformed the venue in homage to Peruvian Rock ’n Roll – perfect for getting you into the party spirit.
HEALTHY HAKE AT MINNOW
Minnow is an independent, neighbourhood restaurant in Clapham Common and the perfect laid-back venue for your Christmas party. Serving up lots of healthy Christmas menu options like Grilled Hake in a parsley broth, and charred leeks with wild mushrooms, it won’t derail your winter wellness efforts.
VEGAN CHRISTMAS AT ESSENCE CUISINE
Essence Cuisine in Shoreditch has one of the most varied healthy Christmas menus – perfect for anyone looking to stay on track this December. Everything on the menu is made from scratch using fresh seasonal ingredients and is entirely meat, dairy, gluten, and refined sugar free. Our favourite dish is the chestnut and porcini stroganoff with squash tagliatelle and walnut parmesan.
A THAI CHRISTMAS AT SOM SAA
While Christmas isn’t traditionally celebrated in Thailand, Thai people are always up for a celebration. Throughout December at Som Saa, you’ll see street food vendors, tuk tuk drivers and the occasional elephant in a Santa hat. For groups of six and above, they have a choice of two special festive feasts. They will be serving Gaeng baa aharn talay, a light and healthy jungle curry of cornish brill with surf clams and holy basil. Yum.
