Harrods Food Hall Floor: Everything You Need To Know About Its New Look

The aroma of fresh bread and beautiful blends will fill the air, guiding you to a shiny, new Roastery and Bake Hall. This first phase of the project will see a scratch bakery filled with the finest artisanal goods, and experts roasting first-class coffee in front of the customers for the first time.

The theatrics of the culinary world are brought to life. Introducing Master Roaster, Bartosz Ciepaj, he and his talented team put on a show for customers, grinding and roasting the coffee beans before them. A personalised visit to the tasting counter allows the opportunity to try each type of coffee and blend unique roasts.

With welcoming stacks of shelves filled with over 30 varieties of bread, the incredible bakery will be led by Master Baker, Lance Gardner. Customers can enjoy watching the baguettes, rolls and flaky croissants emerge hot from the oven.Harrods food hall floor will also introduce a grand Coffee Bar where customers can enjoy the home-roast coffee and treats from the patisserie. The new Tea Room is a dream for those who fancy a cup. Display caddies of the best teas from across the globe will fill the room. A specialised Tea Tailor will assist visitors in mixing their own blends to reference again upon their next visit.

The overall design of the food halls will be harmonious with the architectural feature of the building. The  history of the space will be highly influential. The restoration will revert the halls to their 1925 size and resurrect original features. A high level of care and planning will go into restoring the ceiling, cartouches and Carrara marble flooring. Though some features cannot be fully recovered, meticulous handiwork is going into ensuring that every detail of the recreated pieces are exact.

Three more concepts are to follow including The Fresh Market and the Restaurant Hall. The full restoration will be complete by the end of 2019.

The Roastery and Bake Hall are set to be unveiled early November 2017.
