Where to go for a girls’ night out in London
You’ll have seen Tonight Josephine on your Instagram feed; known for its shimmering unicorn interiors, loos filled with Lindsay Lohan’s mugshots and that neon pink sign, the Waterloo bar is actually worth the hype. Providing cheesy chart tunes, photo opportunities galore and general good vibes, it’s a great spot for a girls’ night out in London. Plus, they’ve opened a second site in Shoreditch.
Mixology Events put on weekly cocktail masterclasses at their studios in east London. With the help of expert mixologists, your girl group can learn how to make some of the world’s most iconic drinks using top ingredients and spirits (and then taste them too!). Whether you’re looking for ideas for a birthday or hen do, or simply a quirky start to a night out, you’ll be whipping up a pina colada in no time.
The creators of Pergola are also behind new Kensington bar BLOOM, which prides itself on being unpretentious and welcoming, the perfect place for a carefree girls’ night out. With an in-house restaurant and bar, head to BLOOM for delicious food and cocktails and wait for 10pm, when a huge hidden dancefloor is revealed. Our favourite cocktail is the Bloomtini – Ciroc French Vanilla with passion fruit, lime and a side of prosecco.
For a bit of a different girls’ night out in London, hire a private room at Karaoke Box to sing your heart out. There are three locations across London – Soho, Smithfield and Mayfair – and you and the girls can select your favourite tunes to belt out while sipping old-school cocktail jugs.
Oblix at The Shard
Enjoy a girls’ night out at one of London’s most iconic landmarks at Oblix, The Shard East. Think cocktails, live music and small plates with stunning views across the city, perfect if you’re looking for an excuse to dress up. Oblix has 16 different flavour signature cocktails as well as bar bites like soft shell crab, celeriac and apple slaw with horseradish mayonnaise.
Grab your team and head to Swingers for a girls’ night out with a difference. With locations in the City and West End, the crazy golf club has a cute vintage seaside theme complete with a helter skelter course and miniature ferris wheel, plus a fully-stocked cocktail bar and street food from the likes of Patty&Bun and Pizza Pilgrims.
Created by multi award-winning Ryan Chetiyawardana AKA Mr Lyan, Lyaness is an elegant cocktail bar in Sea Containers London overlooking the Thames. The drinks menu is designed around ingredients – like Infinite Banana and Peach Emoji – rather than standard recipes, making for a unique girls’ night out that cocktail connoisseurs will love.
Prosecco Pong at Queens
Not only does Queens offer ice skating and bowling, it is now home to a new prosecco pong and beer pong game experience merging the fun of house party games with the excitement of going out. Prosecco pong at Queens has a modern twist though, as they’ve used AI and neon lights to step it up a notch. Plus you can order giant sharing cocktails and dirty burgers from MeatLiquor while you’re at it.
