Where to go for the best food and wine pairing in London

An Evening in the Vineyard

Enoteca Rosso is a new Italian restaurant and wine bar, fanatical about regional food and wines. The menu features rare cheeses and unusual charcuterie, many of which are exclusive to the restaurant, and have come from small-batch producers in Italy. Every dish on the menu can be paired with a wine from the extensive Italian-only wine list. The wine list is divided into 17 wine-making regions in Italy and offers a huge variety of vintage, biodynamic and vegan wines. Enoteca Rossa wants guests to explore their wine list and 30 wines are available by the glass.

Pink Champagne and Cheese Tasting

Champagne + Fromage hold weekly tastings where you can try combinations of regional cheese with Champagne from independent producers. At the event, you will learn why Champagne is so unique and taste a light Rose from Lacroix House, a rare Rose Grand Cru from Pertois-Moriset, a dry and masculine Rose maceration process 100% Pinot from Michel Furdyna and a Champagne Colin with a sweet style and rich in black fruits. The tasting team at Champagne + Fromage are all French natives and ensure that all guests leave with a better understanding of the versatility and unique traits of Champagne.

Alsatian Wine Pairing Dinner

Bellanger’s inaugural wine pairing dinner will be light-hearted and informative, championing produce from the Alsace region. Fine wine director of MMD, Mark Bingley will take guests through a selection of wines from Domaines Schlumberger, as they are paired with typical Alsacienne dishes. Expect four delicious courses that include traditional flambées, choucroute and a Gewurztraminer dessert. This is the first in a series of events, with more dates to be confirmed soon.

Award of Excellence Wine List

Les 110 de Taillevent serves incredible French food carefully paired with the perfect wine matches. The restaurant has one hundred and ten wines by the glass, along with an even bigger selection by bottle, all associated in some way with the restaurant’s dishes. The tasting menu has six courses of foie-gras, lobster bisque, wild halibut, Scottish lamb, pain perdu and chocolate, and comes with two wine pairing options – discovery or prestige. For special occasions, they are happy to arrange bespoke menus and wine pairings.
