WHAT IS IT?

This month sees the Sanderson Hotel embark on a series of tech-focused events for girls.  Code First: Girls allows female Londoners to dip their toes into the world of tech.

The series launches on 25th April with a ‘Women in Tech’ themed panel discussion. Holly Brockwell, editor of female-focused tech website Gadgette.com, will chair proceedings. Discussions will cover subjects such as ‘How do women get into tech? and ‘Is coding essential to success?’ Holly and her panel will tackle gender disparities in tech. They’ll also be on hand to giving guests expert insight into the tech industry’s future. The discussion will end with a live Q&A. It’s the perfect chance to network, cocktail in hand, with the panelists and fellow guests.

Further to this, two exclusive events are set to follow in May. Code First: Girls will be hosting ‘Cocktails & Coding’ sessions at the iconic hotel. These aim to demystify the world of coding. They’ll explore addition topics such as ‘What is the WWW, how does it work and how is it created?’. As well as ‘What is coding and what does HTML code look like?’

These workshops will give guests insight and advice in a relaxed environment. Sanderson’s Long Bar mixologists will be on hand to rustle up cocktails in the hotel’s courtyard garden.

WHEN IS IT?
