Palacio Can Marques, Mallorca

This gorgeous boutique hotel in Palma’s Old Town, Palacio Can Marques inhabits one of the city’s most historic properties dating back to 1760. French interior designer Aline Matsika has restored existing architectural details including Moorish tiles and Binissalem stone for inspiration. The 13 individually designed suites embrace the layout of the old Palacio structure with ornate furniture, contemporary art and custom-made lighting from Murano, all to create a stylish yet comfortable vibe. Palacio Can Marques is a passion project led by owner and visionary Kim Schindelhauer, who has now opened up the Palace’s doors to guests for the first time in 250 years.

One of the latest developments from The Pavillions Hotels collection, this boutique hotel is housed within a classic 19th-Century building designed by the Italian architect and urban planner Giuseppe Valadier, who is known for creating many spectacular sites across the city. The hotel will also offer specialist services including a personal shopping consultant to assist in purchases ranging from the top fashion houses to the small speciality boutiques which Via del Corso is famous for.

A five-star boutique hotel, Sofitel Rome Villa Borghese will reopen on March 4th 2019. The extensive renovation by Jean Philippe Nuel will emphasise the fusion of La Dolce Vita heritage and modernism, classicism and design, the French Art De Vivre. The hotel is situated in a historic palace built in the 1890s, in a quiet yet prime central location overlooking Villa Borghese gardens, just steps away from the Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps. Featuring 78 rooms and suites, the hotel also includes a rooftop restaurant and lounge with panoramic views of the city.
