Yoga and Low Impact Workshop at FLY LDN

New to London’s wellness scene last year, FLY LDN is the non-yogi yoga studio offering something different. Their yoga and low impact workshop invites you to flex and stretch away the tensions of the day with a signature low impact, high-intensity workout followed by a breath-led slow flow class taught by FLY LDN’s Head of Yoga, Fi Clark. The workshop will end with a quick burst of cardio, courtesy of activewear brand Skimmed Milk and their exclusive pop-up.

Pullman London St Pancras x Track Life LDN

With performance running set to be one of the biggest fitness trends of 2019, Pullman London St Pancras has teamed up with Track Life LDN to invite Londoners to train like an athlete. The Running Club will run monthly from January until June and will see attendees meet at Pullman London St Pancras for a pre-run warm up before heading to Regents Park, with a route that will take runners via a number of London’s iconic landmarks. After every session, guests and visitors are invited to refuel in the Pullman London St Pancras lounge, enjoy complimentary nutritious refreshments, followed by a Q&A session with leading wellness experts.

London Landmarks Half Marathon

From the Capital’s landmarks and heritage to the city’s quirky and hidden secrets, runners of the London Landmarks Half Marathon get to explore the capital on a route like no other. It’s the only half marathon to go through both the City of London and the City of Westminster and is jam-packed with music, entertainment and cheer stations along the way. In 2018, the inaugural event raised £4.98m for over 102 different charities. The target for 2019 is £6 million. People looking to take part this year can still run as part of Team Tommy’s, the organisers of the award-winning event, or with one of the other charity partners who have places.

Red Monday at DWFF

DW Fitness First will be lifting the nation’s mood and turning the day notoriously named Blue Monday red as they invite everyone UK-wide to hit the gym for free. Opening the doors to the 120+ gyms, expert staff will be on hand to offer anyone who’s interested the chance to trial the expanded fitness menu and get endorphins flowing. Certain gyms will premiere bespoke classes such as Rhyde, a high energy cycle class which incorporates upper body conditioning and uses the principles of mindfulness and ROX – Run and Box, the new 50 per cent treadmill, 50 per cent boxing class fuelled by lights to improve mood.
