Words Felicity Williams
When Alexandra Mann isn’t designing costumes for A-listers and magazines, you can catch her making the cutest cosmetics bags. Available in Liberty and on her own site, Alexandra uses recycled materials inside and out, from fluoro leopard to vibrant ’80s prints. What’s more they can be totally personalised with monogramming (we’re a big fan of the glitter initials).
We chatted to Alexandra to find out what she keeps in hers…
NUXE – Huile Prodigieuse
It’s the best all over product. I use it for my hair, as a scent, on my face and even as an eye make up remover. I love that’s natural and in a travel size that I can take everywhere.
£28; uk.nuxe.com
EYEKO – Visual Eyes Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner
This is so precise and idiot-proof. It really gives the ’60s feline flick as heavy or as light as you need. As I rarely wear mascara this navy blue makes a change from black.
£15; beautybay.com
SHU UEMURA – Eyelash Curler
These Widen and brighten the eyes instantly – I’ve never used a better curler!
£20; selfridges.com
CHANTECAILLE – Luminous Lip Gloss in Fig
The perfect natural gloss and smells like vanilla, too. Yummy.
£28; spacenk.com
LAURA MERCIER – Tinted Moisturiser
This is fabulous and has the added bonus of having SPF20. It seems to help skin radiate health without too much cakey coverage.
£34; selfridges.com
BOBBI BROWN – Stubby Application Brush
This is great for stippling the skin with a bit of concealer for nice, light coverage.
£26; bobbibrown.co.uk
RIMMEL – Concealer
I’ve used it all my life. I can’t seem to find one I like more. And it stays put.
£5.99; boots.com
LAURA MERCIER – Matte Eye Colour in Twilight Grey
Soft, smokey and works well with my hazel eyes and a navy blue liquid liner.
£19.50; selfridges.com
VASELINE in Rose Tint
Simple and effective. It looks lovely on the lips and the cheeks and it’s super cheap. What more could you want!
£1.95; boots.com
TWEEZERMAN – Flouro Pink Tweezers
No explanation needed!
£20.95; boots.com
