This is a Japanese riff on an Aviation. It has a sake base, paired with plum wine. The clever kids at Ray’s Bar have added a dash of violet liqueur for some fragrant, floral notes and lemon to balance the sweetness.
THE BFG DREAM JAR
Jason Atherton revisited his cocktail menu at Blind Pig to include this fluoro-blue dream jar, inspired by Roald Dahl’s childhood classic. It’s made from a jumble of vodka, Swedish punsch, apricot, lemon and other things, but the best part? It arrives in a jar with glowing ice, in homage to the BFG’s dream collection.
