LESS IS MORE

A common mistake people make when trying to achieve an undone hair look at home is going overboard on hair styling products. Hair is designed to move so invest in quality products that compliment its natural texture and shape without making it look too structured. KMS Tame Frizz Control Lotion is my go-to, simply apply a moderate amount and leave to dry naturally for best results.

SHAKE IT OFF

Shaking hair up and down can help remove excess water within seconds. Lift and gently tousle the roots with your fingertips to help aid drying time and reduce flatness.

SAY NO TO THE HAIRBRUSH

Bristle brushes on wet hair disturb the placement and structure of the hair, resulting in excess frizz. Work through the hair with your fingertips or a wide tooth comb for the most natural finish and to ensure curls and waves stay in place.

GET GRITTY

Natural, undone hair thrives on texture, gently massage KMS Playable Texture Spray in a smudging motion with your fingertips throughout the mid-lengths and ends to create a soft malleable hold without the hair looking too done.

MAKE WAVES

Braid, plait, or twist your hair around into a bun before you go to bed when its 50% dry. You can play around with sizes and placement of the plaits or bun to determine the type of wave or curl.

TIE IT UP

For ’80s inspired curls, using strips of cloth, split damp hair into two sections. Grasp the ends of the hair with the cloth folded over it, curling the hair around the cloth towards the scalp. Tie the cloth in a knot and repeat this around the entire head. Once the hair is dry take out the cloths. Undone hair? sorted.
