BAR TERMINI CENTRALE

This is the second venture from Tony Conigliaro of Bar Termini. He’s joined forces with coffee guru Marco Arrigo to open this Marylebone space which serves cocktails, coffee and small plates. Interiors take inspiration from Italy’s old train station cafes and the gorgeous outdoor terrace is ideal for summer evenings. The original Bar Termini in Soho won awards, so the drinks here are the business. Conigliaro is famous for his aged negronis, which are slow cooked sous vide then bottled to mimic the slow ageing of a cocktail. You can also buy the Classico Negroni bottle to take home.

SUPER LYAN

7 of the Best New Bars Opening in London this Summer

Ever ahead of the trend, Ryan Chetiyawardana and Iain Griffiths created ripples throughout London’s bar scene when they opened White Lyan in 2013.  Their menu was innovative and focused entirely on pre-batched cocktails made with no ice, sugar or citrus. Now, this groundbreaking Hoxton bar has had a transformation with the launch of Super Lyan. This sees the basement of White Lyan take on a new guise with the Mr Lyan team serving a collection of “Bitchin’ Classics”. The menu is jargon-free and guides drinkers according to personal tastes and drink preferences. The all-important cocktails include the Dog’s Nose Clover Club – a Chambord, ‘gin sizzurp’, lemon, and Guinness concoction and the Queen’s Park – made with Bacardi white and aged rums, lemon, green herbs, Peychaud and avocado leaf bitters.
