Afternoon Tea Week: The Best Offerings From Around The Capital

This week is afternoon tea week, which basically means you have an excuse to treat yourself to London’s best finger sandwiches and scones. Here at Absolutely London – we are big fans of an afternoon tea, we may even be experts in the matter, if we do say so ourselves. We have rounded up our top picks from around the Capital, from The Goring to Petersham Nurseries.

Petersham Nurseries Richmond

The south-west London gem has recently launched their Garden afternoon tea. Perfectly pretty and set to the backdrop of nurseries gardens, the tea will include both sweet and savoury options. Guests can expect servings of crispy sourdough with prosciutto and roasted red pepper tartlets with mascarpone, as well as delicious buttermilk scones served with lashings of house-made preserves which beg the question; cream or jam first?! The menu will be available from Friday through until Sunday, from 12pm to 2.45pm. Guests can book for up to twelve people via the website.
